Divine Language In India Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Teach a language human
to the children of this nation.
Any tongue claimed as divine
is fit for gods in Heaven
or the priestly frauds in earth
to cram it and murmur it
in temples or at the riverbeds
to do conjugal or funeral rites.

What will our school-goers gain
after feeding the sacred food
with incessant strain and pain?
They will be tech-savvy to brew
the drinks like Soma or Sura
or make drugs like marijuana
to consume, feel and reel
or take to heels from the schools.
The rate of drop-outs will be high
and the CBSE schools will be going dry.
The realtors who run the schools
will change them into theatres.
