Do you ever wonder how we can
Remember so many things?
Our memory bank is endless
With all the thoughts life brings
We go way back into our childhood
Year after year thoughts fill
Up our heads right to the brink
And we remember them still
All the people we’ve met, oh my
So many it’s impossible to count
The list goes on and on and on
Every single day it mounts
The places we lived, things we did
The prices of this and that
The folks we loved and cherished
The conversations and angry spats
And as we get older and older
Of the elderly we become a member
We sit around with our friends
Constantly asking, “Do you remember? ”
And...in spite of our senior moments...the portrait lingers. Simply...amazing!
