Don't Dream

I Am Not a Dreamer
I Do Not Try To Figure Out What Happened In a Dream
I Don't Have To Accept Or Let Fake Reality Simmer
I Know What Is, What's Not
I Shall Not Dwell In False Wonderment
In Dream Lies Deceit and False Hope
There's Nothing In That Dark Realm
People Wish To Unlock Secrets
That Are Bound To Overwhelm Them
Don't Open Everything To Your Mind
Then You Open It To Danger and Confusion
Don't Dream
Just Know That Life Is Not As It Seems

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

Only in sleep I see their faces,
Children I played with when I was a child,
Louise comes back with her brown hair braided,
Annie with ringlets warm and wild.
