Don't Wait For A Lover, Dear Poem by Elena Sandu

Don't Wait For A Lover, Dear

Don't wait for a lover, dear,
Some other things, a thousand
May find, and better, do.

If his, or hers, true love,
Could never let you wait
For minutes feels as hours
And hours, as decades.

Don't wait for the lover dear
Some other things, a thousand,
You find, and better, do.

Those lovers with such talent
To make you wait in vain
May break your soulful balance
Gift love, a heavy chain.

Don't wait for a lover dear
Some other things, a thousand,
You find, and better, do.

Don't keep your breath, my dear
There's plenty of fresh air,
Find how the spread out wings
Can brake all chains away.
