Donation (World Blood Donor Day, June 14) Poem by U Win Kyi

Donation (World Blood Donor Day, June 14)

He was of royal blood.
He never touched
the people from low caste.
One day he was injured
in a car crash....so terrible.
Large amount of blood he lost
and he went into hypovolumic shock.
He was resuscitated,
with the blood donated
by the low caste people he hate.

She was a white woman,
with pregnancy of month..seven,
She went into labor,
many weeks premature.
She was transfused with blood..a litre.
donated by a black African.

Though people differ
in appearance and color,
which are white, black and yellow,
but they have 4 blood groups...A, B, AB and O,
which have a common color...red.
If grouping and matching well checked,
the donor's blood can be given to recipient,
thus the patient can be saved from jaw of death,
no matter royal, low caste, yellow, white or black.
