Draped In Our Nations Colors Poem by Justin Gildow

Draped In Our Nations Colors

Outside the coliseum
Many of us are draped
in our nations colors
Representing our homelands
Representing where we're all
from
And that's pretty much all over
the world

Inside the coliseum
We cheer on our nations
We cheer on our teams
Hoping that the ones we
cheer for win out in the
end

All around
I see banners
People in t-shirts
And people in facepaint
My, they all wear their
nations colors proudly

Outside the coliseum
I buy a hot dog from a
vendor
As well as a soda

At the top of the coliseum
I see each flag for each
nation

By a tree
I see many that are sitting
and having a conversation
Some call out to me
Wishing me hello
I greet them back
