Dream Catcher Poem by Joshua Hudson

Dream Catcher

Rating: 3.5

I used to have a lot of dreams
But when I grew up my dreams got wings
I wanted to be so many things
Not a wanna be, but reality stings
When I was young I thought I could fly
We all did, we were all kids
But my dreams flew off into the sky
I watched them leave, I barely tried
Wasted time's a slap in the face
And swallowed pride leaves a bitter taste
Regret's a stain we can't erase
‘Till we catch that dream
The one we chased
So catch that dream
Before you die
And show the world that you can fly
Catch that dream
Before you die
Catch that dream
Don't let it fly
