Something Great Inside Poem by Joshua Hudson

I remember falling from so high up
But I hit the ground without a sound
Dead
Dry
Unable to move
But I knew I had something great inside
I laid there for a long time
Then the rain came
And I came alive
Day by day I grew
Into something familiar but new
Time went by and then
I finally reached up high again
I stretched out my arms
And opened my hands
They were full of seeds
That looked just like me
Each with something great inside
