And I dream of you ‘til morning breaks

Until the sleeping sun awakes

As dew drops clothe the leaves refreshed

I think of you and the love we made



Still I dream of you ‘til now

It has been years since you broke your vow

As tears fall down my tired eyes

I still can help but question why



And I dream of you as evening comes

Still imagining you’re in my arms

‘though I realize you’re far too gone

That our time is over and done



And ‘though I dream of you with every sigh

I keep in mind that bitter goodbye

That moment when my heart you broke

With every painful word you spoke



‘though I still dream of you ‘til morning breaks

‘though I still feel this deep heartache

I’ve let you go for my heart’s sake

And just dream of you and the love we had.
