Dreamland Poem by Linda Ori

Dreamland

Rating: 5.0

You wandered through my dreams last night,
just thought I'd let you know,
it seems that when I fall asleep
my mind knows where to go;
Something that I eat, perhaps,
before I go to bed
sets the stage for dreamland
and these visions in my head;
'A bit of undigested food'
or so the story goes......
may conjure up that river
where imagination flows,
along the twisted pathways
that meander through my brain,
plucking hidden memories
like brilliant drops of rain
to splash upon my eyelids,
they sparkle and delight
until the breath of morning sun
removes them from my sight;
And will you entertain me now
when next I close my eyes?
If you should dream of me, perhaps
we'll meet 'neath sleeping skies.

My mind knows where to go! With the muse of the dreams of life. Nice work.

What an amazing thought! Two people dreaming of each other could meet in their dreams and... anything could happen next. Wonderful!

A lilting and rhythmic poem, flows so easily like a river to the ocean. Our minds find their way no matter whether we're awake or asleep, and we dream of those we've love or cared about through the years. Wonderful thoughts. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
