Drifting Apart Poem by Ashley Mejia

So many things have changed,
Our lives have rearranged.
Our relationship has broken apart,
No matter how hard we fought to make it stop.

Too many things got in our way,
And we began to slowly fade.
I wish this would all go away,
That everything would be the same.

I guess we are both to blame,
For this ghastly day.
Today we go our different ways,
Thinking that this was fate.

Saying goodbye,
Has never been this hard.
I don't understand why,
We had to drift apart.
