Dullest Pink. Poem by Joanna Fregoso

Dullest Pink.

We were sitting,
sitting,
And your face looked so sweet.
Delicate branches of light
played off your eyes
of shining green.
And you kissed me.
Kissed me with those
lips of dullest pink.
Lips that touched and moved
like a placid stream.
I remember the flash of fire,
the lightning that ran through
my veins,
when you said you loved me.
The sun was setting,
dying in the sea,
and you breathed upon my cheeks:
Can you feel me.
Can you feel my heart's unrhythmic beat?
It beats with love for you.
Dream peacefully, my dearest one,
and know my love is for you.
