Each Other Poem by Mike Sudak

Each Other

In glorious rapture I took her hand
And swore against the world’s end
To be hers, forever more
With a thousand more suns and moons to spend

Now, as the light rises on a new beginning
Let our hearts be given to one another
Relieve all grief of this material world
And let impulse be guide, beneath this sky asunder

Then all at once, she receives my hand
Without my consent, and we move along
My once sinking heart now blossoms
As if purred of what cursed me wrong

And she turns to me and smiles
Carefree of the weight of reality
For we are forever bonded in the grip
Of each other’s eyes
