“We are master of our own destiny”
But architect of misery too
Greed has no limit
And we have crossed all the limits
There is no use if we blame
Nature, God or anybody to claim
For earth quake that has made many homeless
Besides leaving behind crying faces
How many more may be buried alive?
We got to believe
Statistic provided by Government agencies
But one thing is sure “we are still at His mercy“
We have extracted enough of oil from earth’s belt
The deforestation is grievously felt
The coal and many more minerals are dug
The damage caused to nature is huge
Glaciers are melting
Loosing original charm and are floating
The rivers are causing floods
Making scarcity of food
There is no escape
We have depleted natural resources
Even air is polluted at dangerous level
How come we expect nature to act well?
• Himalayan kingdom, Nepal, has lost thousands in recent earth quake
So sad. My heart goes out to the suffering and those who are without loved ones this day. No amount of grief is enough. db 2 hours ago by Don Bouchard | Reply
Gabriela Markova xI love it. Every single word expresses the sad truth. We are truly masters of our destiny. Keep writing! 2 hours ago
I grieve for the devastation of the recent earthquake and you have managed to take that sorrow as a lesson for us all on how our maltreatment of nature in a bid for constant progression cannot protect us from the fury of nature especially when it is being push out of sync by man's greed.
