Eaten Words Poem by Randy McClave

Eaten Words

Watch the words that you speak
Better hope that you get the reaction that you seek,
But first coat them with a little sugar and spice
And a filling that is nice.
Make sure that they are delicious looking
Especially after you've finished your cooking,
And make sure they are presented in a pleasant atmosphere
Maybe with a glass of beer.
Remember your words are like the food you cook
People always take a second look,
And sometimes when you give your words a turn
They then just burn.
Before you put your words onto a plate
Before you put them in your mind to bake,
Make sure that your words are all kinda sweet
Because, they might be easier for you to later eat.
