Empathy In Crisis Poem by Bebai Rosa

Empathy In Crisis

Many cannot fathom
The life of a woman battered
Her very essence scattered
Her hopes and dreams shattered

You say, 'That could never be me! '
Love is blind, so how can you see?
Your new love, Who is he?
You too, could pay the pipers fee

If you've never been used as a rug
It's not your place to be jury or judge
The best resolve is to show love
Embrace your sister with a hug

The price of torture is too much to pay
Surely I know of a better way
To guarantee brighter days
Heads up, lift your voice and pray!
