Enslaved

I’ve been down with a malady
Since I don’t know when
I’ve been cracking inside
These vessels were once so clean
Since I don’t know when
They snub the air I breathe
I’ve been enslaved
Been brought down to my knees
Those high hopes are all gone
As a low man I seek
What was it before?
I would like to remember
The face I once saw
I think I lost it
I would like to remember
What I was once told
But now I’m enslaved
Been brought down to my knees
Those high hopes are all gone
As a low man I seek………………
