The story of Esau and Jake
is the one that Eve loves best of all.
Though each of them made a mistake,
and probably won’t ever fall
in love with the other, they end
up as friends, as a sister and brother
should always end up, and befriend,
as all siblings should do, one another.
The reason they do this is this:
they forgive one another’s mistakes,
as a sister should do for a sis,
to forgive being all that it takes.
Inspired by a letter Eve, aged six, wrote to a publisher or Bible stories, telling him that her favorite story in the Bible was the one about Jacob and Esau (Eisav and Yaakov) “because they forgive one another”.
