Every Night

Every night I cry
Every night I can’t sleep
Every night he comes and we speak
We talk for hours
Till I finally fall asleep
When I’m home alone
We sing
We sing till it hurts too much
Till I cry and cut
Leaving the blood on my arms, legs and tummy
I shower all I see is red
I dry my hair and act like
I never wanted to be dead

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

Conscience is instinct bred in the house,
Feeling and Thinking propagate the sin
By an unnatural breeding in and in.
I say, Turn it out doors,
