Exclusively Mine Poem by manaswini dash

Exclusively Mine

Rating: 5.0

If ever -
I would have a courtyard of my own desire
I could have draw a nice painting of my hope there.
To welcome the rising sun in the morning,
I could have spread there a carpet glowing.
I could have stitched my colorful wishes on that carpet.
With a view to make the rising sun attract.
The morning sun would have first put its steps,
On the painting of my courtyard space.
Before touching long trees and leaves,
It could have sit on the carpet of my wish.
With the touch of its soft singing rays,
My wishes could have grown their says.
But how and where to get such a courtyard -
Which is exclusively mine?
And help my dream seeds to germinate in time!
Everyday the sun rises with colorful spectra.
Also goes away in time not giving me anything extra.
To its journey, I was just a bewildered spectator.
Not knowing how to react for its unkind behavior.
There was a long time gap between the rising and setting sun.
Which gradually slipping out of my fist on and on.
My breath is becoming faster and hard.
As if I could have done many things but failed.
My dreams become pale and pale with the sun setting.
The colors of my hope carpet blown away by swinging.
The seeds of my dream never germinate.
And remain for ever as a sleeping seed unfortunate.
