Exhibitions Of B.S. Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Exhibitions Of B.S.

No position will I take,
Whether to volunteer or be paid.
To take anyone by the hand.
And guide them through,
Exhibitions of B.S.

People lied to and deceived,
Does not give to me that authority...
To open their closed ears.
Clouded minds or eyes.
With a pointing out who lies and deceives,
Done to do with incredible expertise.
This...
Is a personal learning experience.
Only those who have healed,
From being wounded...
Have traveled this path.
To know when asked about honesty and truth,
The best thing to do...
Is to pretend not to understand,
Either the question or the subject.

Facts and the truth of them,
Eventually have a way...
To speak for themselves.
As time passes on.
And others discover they were wrong.
Finding not a word to say.
Or a pathetic 'forgive' me look,
Expressed on their faces.
To know...
They were quick without evidence or clue,
That what they did to do...
To permit whether to admit or not.
Allowed themselves to be made fools.

And...
This journey,
May for some...
Take longer than expected.
To cause tolerance and patience,
Found to be in no mood...
For accepting delayed and overdue reactions!
