Extreme Forever 1. Skiing. Poem by Konstantin Ananin

Extreme Forever 1. Skiing.

Rating: 2.5

Many years ago I travelled in mountains and heard our instructor
say, “An avalanche has slid down.” It sounded unusual, but later I
heard another instructor say the same words, and I realized it
was their habit. So don’t be surprised while reading this.

- An avalanche has slid down.
We must go and look round
John. This lover of extreme sports
Doesn’t miss his chance to ski in front of
An avalanche when it slides. I can’t forget last
January the snow slid too fast,
And we dug him out for nearly
Five hours. Everyone was extremely
Tired when we found him.
___________________________- Our dog, May,
Is with us. He digs over a square mile a day.
- Oh yes! He’s dug up all his bones in
Our garden. Now…
____________________- You let him
Keep them there. He dug them in, forgot
The locations of them and…
_____________________________- My God!
We’ve quite forgotten about John with
Our dog. Call him and let’s hurry, please!
