Failing At The Hill Poem by Martin Byrne

Failing At The Hill

For once you failed
And let me down
Your hum was sweet
But now I frown
My head spins as you die
I bow my head and pray
That you may take me up this hill
With you.
But you are destined for a rusted graveyard
And I thank you
For where you have gone for me
As your heart stops beating
And your engine stalls
