Fall. Poem by dave lessard

Fall.

Rating: 5.0

Give me an autumn day
with colors that inspire
with trees aflame on hillsides
of which one never tires;
of air so crisp and clean
of breezes that caress
as falling leaves float down
as to the earth they press;
days of fall's great glory
the passing of a season
of nature's grand display
that needs no rhyme or reason;
to October's many pumpkins
to cold and sweet fresh mornings
to geese that wing on south
to frosty art adorning;
Give me an autumn day
with clouds that race the sun
with deer in shadowed meadows
when evening-time is done.
