Fallen Poem by Charlie F. Kane

Fallen

Poor lad,
He’s the one who’s fallen from grace,
He knows so much about disgrace.
Like that old Dylan song
He’s fallen away from this place.

They speak of him in hushed laughter,
He used to laugh with them,
He used to be one of them.
He’ll go far they said,
But life doesn’t often do what they say.

He doesn’t know where he’s going to go now.
He watches them pass him by,
He knows they’ve no time for him now,
Because he knows too much about disgrace,
He’s knows he’s fallen from their grace.
