Fallen Angel Poem by Rik Bertrand

Fallen Angel

I have fallen from the heavens,
The lord has blessed me with life.
I have been given a reprieve,
I shall be true to him and never deceive

The purple majestic skies; with the holy light,
Shines bright down on me; and I take it in.
The glow radiates on the rocks and the water,
And I shall live now as heavens daughter.

I have be graced with beauty and spirit,
I shall bring smiles and laughter to all that I touch.
I shall sing and bring musical note
And through time, my words they will quote.

I am a fallen angel, from the purple majestic skies,
I have become one with the rhythm of life,
My wings once large are now disappearing
I will be an instrument of life, long and endearing.

I have been given the beauty of heaven,
So that I can set the world a glow.
I see the reflection in the waters below,
I see the spirit inside me, and know I know.

Angel no more; mortal being of earth,
Miracle of life; born from the heavens
Behold the beauty of what is to come
As I wait for this new worlds rising sun.
