Fame Poem by Asad Y.R.

Fame

It’s pretty insane
When people get caught up in the fame
Dying as fake memories embedded on everyone’s brain
Pretty lame to be known as a name that can’t be matched with a face
Displaced and disarrayed
In a sea of people getting paid for their fame
Just another face placed in an array of famous names that can hardly go a day without getting recognized for play

What a shame this fame
Hugged by awards and fortune
While there’s war and torture
Forged and forceful
the cover up remains
on the shameless faces of fame

I’d rather be known for not being known
And I’d rather be faceless than shameless
And infamous for shaming fame
Than just another covered-up, shameless, face of the famous,
caught up in the fame.
