Family Court Lawyers Poem by David McLansky

Family Court Lawyers

They prey on human suffering,
Requiring money offerings;
They move with charcoal dignity
In steps of solemn enmity;
They resurrect their childhood woes
Gravely dressed in tailored clothes;
And I the victim of their glance
Must pay to watch their solemn dance.
