Fast Times In Fun And Fusion Poem by John W. McEwers

Fast Times In Fun And Fusion

Was a time, O'
a time of my life
when I went nowhere
slow
went nowhere

when I took college
like I took cough syrup
and I just laid down
awhile and watched the ceiling

that stucco dorm had green
had green
paint drips dripping
so artfully

I saw moons explode
like in episode
whatever it was
in Star Wars

and I drank turpentine
and walked serpentine
up to ladies in frilly skirts

And I asked 'Where ya from? '
'Wanna have some fun? '
'I'll spoil you like
a ham in the sun'
