Feeling Blue Poem by George Hunter

Feeling Blue

I was feeling rather blue today
I felt that something was wrong.
I didn't feel like reading
Or singing my favorite song.
I just moped around all day
And had a strange obsession.
Then I realized I was suffering from
A quadra-polar depression.
Its two bi-polars rolled up into one
Its got me down in the mouth.
It comes from every direction
East, West, North and South.
I decided to feed my face
So I traveled into town.
I knew I was in a very bad mood
'When I ordered my eggs
Sunny-side down.
Later on I felt much better
As I filled my coffee cup
And whistled that oldie tune
'Keep Your Sunny Side Up'
