Feeling Remorse Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Feeling Remorse

A fool who does not take warnings.
To adhere to them to heed.
Is a fool.
Who will eventually be witnessed.
On knees pleading for mercy.
But remembered misdeeds implanted in memories.
Will not allow anyone to consider a forgiveness.
Since a fool with a consciousness,
Permitted others to bleed.
And did this to get attention.
Now that fool receives,
What that fool sought to have needed.
Publicly.
With no one observing feeling remorse.
Or empathy to display it shown.
In fact,
A fool feeling remorse...
Has not been known to anyone to be revealed.
