Filled With Wonder Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Filled With Wonder

Even when not thinking...
when in a deep slumber
Everything is changing by degrees
giving substance to wonder

Waking to a new day... wide eyed
Feeling a sunny day turn to rain
Growing taller with wings unfolding
Walking shoeless like a whooping crane

Flourishing in an expanding atmosphere
Searching for a comet's tail to seize
Feeling like a speck of spellbound dust...
mesmerized by stars that intrigue

A surge of energy flows through the trees
A rustle utters the lyrics to an unsung song
As the world revolves... a theme is found
Reassuring that nothing will go wrong
