Flames Of Injustice In Manipur Poem by Shongminthang Haokip

Flames Of Injustice In Manipur

Brave and bold our men stand tall across foothills
As the flames of injustice engulfed our villages
The smoke of inhumanity touches the sky
Offering an alter, for divine intervention upon the immoral

Come and attack us our enemies you become
'If my enemy don't die, who would? ', said a Kuki man in vengeance
As he pulled the trigger pointed at his enemy's head
Our warrior's blood is boiling untamable.

Tahchapa! You hold onto your dreams,
Let your resilience flow through every streams across mountains
For peace to embrace the hills of the free
And the lands of the brave
Healing the wounds that violence tore.

While history enslaved Africa or colonized Asia
Our forefather valiantly fought even the mighty British
With spears and swords, will and spirit
For their motherland, for their loved ones behind.
