Flowers Are Meant For Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

“What these flowers are meant for and why”?
I thought of giving a best possible and sincere try
My god, she was hell bent upon her choice
No impact was made even with real promise

I thought of presenting her with big bouquet
It was wrapped in beautiful cover with mention her birth date
I had remembered exact date and seized the chance
I was curious enough to come in contact with her at once

She was not made of inferior stuff
She knew where to give strong rebuff
I was expecting good response with broad smile
But she fired me off with her formidable style

“What do you think you can impress me in this way”?
She came out with strong words of resentment and went away
Leaving behind a note of displeasure “behave your self”
I was left high and dry and sank below the sea shelf

She was not arrogant or beauty conscious
She wanted to remain as earthy as possible and not become famous
It was not her way of thinking to lead the life
There were many more things to be approached for future wife

She was brilliant in all the respects but preferred isolation
She was of firm opinion that it must be based on strong foundation
Some of the relations are destined to be and have heavenly blessings
Nothing should go unnoticed or in that case even missing

I failed to judge her mood and way of working
It gave me enough of insight with strong jerking
It gave me lesson that no one can be wooed by simple tactics
It needed some kind of understanding with simple basic

You can have fine chemistry if that has some honesty
Food also can be liked if added with contents and made testy
Life can be looked upon as one time choice
One should be in comfortable position and ready to poise

I learnt a lesson not because of her rude reply
But certainly it lacked sincerity in approach with weak try
I could have made it little more reasonable
Even though I believed that it was still possible
