Fly-Once-More>>> Poem by Manonton Dalan

Fly-Once-More>>>

one very warm afternoon
seeking breeze to room
i see heat wave pulses
thirst teasing my throat
cold water i want to hold
drink on my palm; i should
then dragon fly came to me
landed on my palm, so weak

i took her to water fountain
splashed her with cold water
she never let go of my finger
sipping, move her wings, nice
i found her tree to recover
she cling to a leaf; legs move
then flew away, too high beyond
my eyes; maybe i save her today
