Focus On Covenant Under Stress

A Contract can be broken not just from one side but two,
However, a Covenant is only severed by the likes of you,
And while both suggests a mutual relationship as its goal,
Loyalty is the only underlying factor that makes it whole.

Promises are like an over flowing waterfall so easily spoken,
And like levees in a violent storm they’re also easily broken,
Under oath, sworn on the bible promises are rarely fulfilled,
But not so by the Owner of cattle found on a thousand hills.

60% of marriages end in divorce treated like mere contracts,
More often than not one side is taking but never giving back,
As sometimes both might be cheating outside wedding vows,
It is just their way of proclaiming I never loved you anyhow.

The covenant promises are by no means easy to obtain or free,
Most will have to go through their own mountainous Calvary,
Trudging the rough terrain of wilderness in order to be blessed,
“Many are called but few are chosen” who is ready for the test?

My bible states, “the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few, ”
In the Book of Numbers, twelve men were called but only two,
Joshua & Caleb saw the same thing viewed by leaders of tribes,
As those unbelieving ten caused millions in their families to die.

Some had multiple wives then add parents & grand parents too,
600,000 became millions by the time the counting was through,
All witnessed miraculous sings & wonders, the parting Red Sea,
As from twelve Israelite leaders only two with God would agree.

Your Old Testament is for New Testament Saints, Romans 15: 4,
1st Corinthians 10: 1-13 gives additional insight to what’s in store,
So, for our admonition it is a guide as to how we should conduct,
Daily rituals because only games of chance are ever won by luck.
