My house was struck by lightning.
And it wasn’t even raining.
My friend had even just come over,
and she was walking back to her house.
She made it back OK.
Thank goodness.
And I mean, sure the sky wasn’t sunny,
but I didn’t think my house would get hit by LIGHTNING!
It fried the computer,
the speaker,
the satellite dish,
and the phone.
It scared the sh*t out me,
Being so close to the boom.
And my life literally did flash
right before my eyes.
Had I been outside,
in the wrong place
at the wrong time,
I could be dead.
That strike really made me realize
that I could die at any moment.
Tomorrow isn’t promised to me,
nor is the next hour,
minute,
or second.
I might not have a future.
My life could end right now,
and there’d be nothing I could do.
There’d be nothing anyone could do.
