Fooled Again Poem by Patti Masterman

Fooled Again

Sometimes you think you get a glimpse
Of something that's rarely seen;
A remote sighting of genius,
You were lucky to almost meet.
But upon closer inspection,
It's depressing to realize,
It was just a slight retardation
Turned the phrase that attracted your eyes.
