For A Change Poem by Ayon Banerjee

For A Change

Rating: 5.0

On a certain Sunday when
I am all alone and gathered..
We shall talk silence.

For a change, I will listen
to those pregnant waves.
Some outbound melodies,
in fading noises
of once-known voices –
that hide the currents of
the sullen ocean that now is.

For a change, I won’t deny.
Or disown. My wrong Gods, &
my missed stars, that led to
a thousand misled voyages.

For a change, I will say sorry
to my heartbroken dreams,
and bid them goodbye.
As a friend.

For a change, I will talk.
Of that winter night,
Fifty six smoke rings
dancing in the velvet fog,
lighting up a hidden path,
that led me to You.

For a change, I will show you
that I was human.

I lost a lot.
To find myself.
You hear me, don’t you?
