For A Moment Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

For A Moment

Rating: 5.0

Living between fanciful fantasy and reality
With whimsical thoughts of being free
From the daily stress and drudgery
Wishing so intently…longing to believe

Is the power to imagine…a form of insanity?
Such a talent creates a world of complacency
A coping mechanism that eases instantaneously
Erasing worries can be a remarkable capability…

For a short span of time I return to infancy
A moment of unspoiled dreams and serenity
With the flutter of eyelids…returning to certainty
Sprinkled with fairy dust that no one else can see
