For you I am writing these lines
not just because you are one of the
reason for my smile
but because at one point of my life
you were the only one who filled my sky

you came as a breeze of fresh air
and engulfed me in your glare
everything around me smiled suddenly
as if they were also waiting for your arrival

that was the time when we used to
spend days together, and nights in
waiting for another day
which would again bring us together
nights were spent in waiting for dawn to come
and during day so busy with each other
we never knew when dusk descended

so wonderful were those days
full of a promise for both of us
that I still can not recount
that we are no longer together

you are now miles away
no hope of our meeting again
but I have in my heart and
will keep it throughout my life,
love that you gave me
when I needed you most
