Forest Spells

Opus 21

The forest casts a magical spell, upon my waiting heart.
This experience of mine alone, to live, has set my world apart.
The whispering of the mother wind sends shivers through my frame,
And changed me from my inner depths, to never be the same.

I was inhibited by doubts, and fears of failing, those I loved.
I could not figure who I was, but driven was to prove,
That I could be the best in everything, I undertook.
I did create within my life, a very proper look.

This seemed to serve me very well for many happy years,
Until the day, that I awoke, and could not stop the tears.
How deep within my heart and soul, my feelings were relating,
I could not figure, why the tears could flow without abating.

I have become the very kind of person I once hated,
But now, no longer feel, to that created self, related.
It is as if, I was released, my bonds and shackles broken,
And I have found a meaning for my life, that's not a token.

I now have used the magic that was cast by forest spells,
To generate the feelings that within my heart did dwell.
The magic stirs within, and finds the ways that I can cope.
Renews the mind, the heart, the soul; with everlasting hope.
