Forthcoming Poem by Joshua Hillard

Forthcoming

Rating: 5.0

I've been sealed with misdirection,
Love is blind with good intentions,
Life's a test but soon a lesson,
Where I'm going begs the question,

I watch the pendulum sway in time,
Holding a motion so similar to mine,
No repeat, delete, no period, no line,
I've stared too long, the notion is blind,

Living in days that lie of fallacy,
Oh the forthcoming demise rests so naturally,
We stay in a vial half full of misery,
While the other half deny it so casually,

Words can bring a whole new meaning,
To these current things we are believing,
For this I say there is no reason,
Childish acts fuel our grieving,

Doubtful I am to slip through this crack,
Oh how one's world can simply lose track,
A phenomenon, a parody, how should one act,
When oblivion has absorbed the only way back,

Sorrow drowns in and seals my fate,
An empathetic personality defines my trait,
With probable cause I am irate,
So stop me now before I break,

Calling out deep I can see no end,
These screams and echoes begin to mend,
Breaking to pieces, while some still bend,
How dare I evade this inevitable trend,

Cry on my shoulders, but how to do so?
It is only I, the help is impossible,
For that one pendulum rings and it's time to go,
Climb your barrier, for it is I who must know,

I wonder now what I've become,
A darkness so thick I cannot outrun,
But these final days have finally begun,
Shout out to the world that I am a someone.
