Forward Poem by Sofia Fiona

Forward

Our romance arose unexpectedly,
but in the excitement I tripped, and you
tripped, and we both didn't know what to do,
except watch how you silently left me.

Then came the avalanche of emotion—
cold, unstoppable, overpowering.
But know that spring, reborn and flowering,
will thaw the snow with warm devotion.

And if merciful God will be willing,
with healing time to allow us to see
that seven, after all, is 4 plus 3,
and that truth existed in our feelings,

insight will raise up a throne in our hearts.
And never again will we be surprised
at why the casting-mold was absent twice,
and why a perfect whole is made from parts.

But I do not plan, for so says my God:
"You're my creation, though little and odd.
Choose to be unique, like you always do.
You never know what my will is for you."
