When language is used for expression
Words will improvise
Here comes an expert who is so smart
Devises a complex pattern
And hits us with a baton!
The poet cries....
His heart doesn't abide
The tears guide....
And poetry is revolutionized.
His heart doesn't abide The tears guide.... And poetry is revolutionized. Grrt penned mam ji
There is an inherent problem with 'purist' claiming that poetry cannot be written without following a particular metre.. When the subject matter is often scattered and not 'coherent' we cannot, as poets, try to bound that in through metres/shackles.. If not, then we should try to do so. Thank you for sharing your poem, it is a just 'Ars Poetica' in its own right.
Very well written poem, I liked it. Mr Kelly is inspiration to many on this site and I really enjoy reading his poems and comments.
Your thoughts have been put so beautifully into words. It is a difficult thing indeed to take the inner feelings of self and put them into the symbols of words. The beauty of poetry is that it allows you to revolutionize, guided by tears and joy.
