Let me say it aloud to the world today
That you have been, you are
And will remain till the very last whistle
My Friend, Philosopher and Guide
This is how I have seen you
This is how I'd like to perceive you
This is what I look out for and find in you
Your whole personae has been so reassuring
Your presence has been so profound
You may be far or you may be close
I know you are always camping around
Frailties of all those men and women
who looked upon you with hope
were taken care of by your friendly fold
you were always there with your support
You lent your strength for nth number of times
To me and to many others named and unnamed
You were a light house or a beacon
To peg imperfections and to bring perfections
You have perfected the art of perfecting
[Dear Sir, today is January 11, your Birthday and I dedicate this poem to you with humility]
A beautiful dedication, a lovely poem and 1th January a great day when a great humanist like Rajnish Manga was born.
Thanks for your kind words, Akhtar Jawad Sahab. You have always supported and appreciated my efforts.
An honest tribute to an anonymous mentor by a simple and sober mentee. Admired and appreicated. Top score.
This is a great philosophical poem that is penned emotionally and beautifully to wish all the best on occasion of Birthday of sir. The art of perfecting is perfected in outstanding manner...10
A wonderful tribute Rajnish ji, to your friend, philosopher and guide. You have honoured your mentor in an exemplary way. By not naming the person, you have made the poem, even more gracious and mysterious. A perfect relationship with a boss who must have made the work atmosphere in the office, so memorable. A Super poem.......10
'A Friend, Philosopher and Guide', this man must have influenced you for good. He sounds like a teacher or guru, a spiritual man. What a message to read on his birthday, January 11th.
Thanks a lot, Michael, for your support and encouragement. As a matter of fact, he was my boss in the office. But more than that he was a real 'Friend, Philosopher And Guide' with right advice at the right time at personal level. Such personalities are a rare breed.
