Frog Design Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Frog Design

Frogs, So much more, here to discover
As a tadpole I have seen
Many shades of color
Blends of many greens

So many different, many frogs
More so, it always seems
Somehow I think and I believe
Nature painted me

Here I am bright eyed, red
Born unlike my green family
Living each day in living color
Blue mixed within my green

One day a snake swam out to greet me
Frogs and snakes are not good friends
His skin was a bluish green
His eyes were also red

The snake gazed, then smiled slowly
We both laughed at what we 'seen
A snake and frog so different, YET
Neither could believe

Nature has her, reasoning
A purpose in design
Mine was to be as different as
So snake would pass me by
