Glowing Superlatives Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Glowing Superlatives

Unloading glowing superlatives
Does not make what isn't felt or seen
Sparkle brighter
If maintenance is daily conducted
By those entrusted
To prevent it from rust

Many can choose to blow off the dust
To represent their interpretation
Of what they describe not viewed by eyes
And they are to be commended
But what isn't comprehended
By that which is defended
Is what it takes to establish and keep
Such high status mentioned to be presented

Unloading glowing superlatives
Does not make what isn't felt or seen
Sparkle brighter
If maintenance is daily conducted
By those entrusted
To prevent it from rust

When a focused attention becomes applied
With all determined to rise to such heights described
An approval of the removal of exaggerations embellished
Will then become less tolerated and more appreciated
For what it truly is in appearance for all to stand and applaud
