Go To Church Poem by Randy McClave

Go To Church

Don't be judgmental or non-believing or shy
But, I truly am a God fearing, Christian guy,
When I tell you of my purpose and of my true goal
It is that I want the Lord to save your soul.
I want everyone to worship at a Christian Church
You said you couldn't, but what made the decision even worse,
Your friends thoughts were also, a big "hell no! "
Even though in Jesus you or them don't even know.
I'm a writer and I am also a youth coach
About myself I will proudly and religiously boast,
I'm a very good and kind Christian person
And I'm not ever swearing, or hating or cursin'.
I wear jeans or sweats as I ever rarely dress up
I only drink water and pop, and sometimes tea from a cup,
And I never ever go to any bars or ever to pubs
And I never ever go to any type of clubs.
Though of course for you and others I will keep on trying
Even though my belief you will keep on denying,
I'm still hoping and trying for you to come to church one day soon
Remember, I'm not asking you or anyone to go to a saloon.
I want you and others to learn and to worship our Lord
You being saved is my truest and only accord,
I want you and everyone to find true peace and a joyful salvation
And I don't want you or anyone to ever burn in Hell's damnation.
I once was a sinner just like them and you
Then one day I found Jesus sitting on a pew,
Then my soul was truly hurt and I was a sinner confused and lost
Then the Lord told me for my salvation, he already paid the cost.
One day in front of God we will all be judged
For your salvation I hope your name has not been smudged,
And when you're on your knees in front of God, I hope he will not say
"Child, you should've went to Church that one day".
