God dream

i dreamed a simple dream:
i slowly opened
the massive wooden door
of a church

inside were wooden people
sitting as if dead in silent pews

i carefully closed the door
not to bother their sleep

i turned away
and found an informal group
of regular real people at a table
chatting amiably
friends

and found my home
